Candy Davis Sings about Living Off the Grid, Solar Power, and Oil Addiction

Candy Davis is a singer-songwriter and member of Parsley & Sagebrush band, a folk group based in Southern Illinois. She sings songs about local history, people and places, nature, and family.

These songs are from Candy’s first solo album, Shawnee Seasons. “It is my love letter to the beautiful Shawnee Forest and adjacent parks and refuges, near which we live in Southern Illinois… I wrote all these songs to be passionate in their call for environmental justice and to offer ideas on how we might live more lightly on our Earth.”
